RACET works with three schools in the villages of Mfuma, Ntrigom and Ipollo which support children in the surrounding 12 villages. According to a survey carried out by our university students while on school break last year, there are 1,496 secondary school aged children in this area; currently 631 (42%) regularly attend school. RACET currently awards full scholarships and bursaries to 80 children each year at an annual prize giving ceremony which recognises the exceptional performance of these students and engages their parents in their learning.
