In February 2024, RACET Trustees returned to the Yala area of Cross River State, Nigeria on their first proper inspection trip since the pandemic. Despite near daily communication with RACET’s Head of Operations Ayo Gbadebo in Ntrigom, it was wonderful for Trustees to see first-hand how RACET staff at the three secondary schools were managing to keep everything running smoothly.

Mercy E. Peter, part of the RACET team since 2019, is now Head of the new IT Centre at Mfuma School. She is also our Student Liaison Officer, in charge of the safeguarding and well-being of all our female RACET students at both secondary school and university.

The 2020 newsletter brings news of secondary school graduates doubling, a new computer suite thanks to grant funding from BFSS, solar lanterns from The One World Fund and a letter from our Chair, Deirdre Trapp.
